The beauty of the world can only be properly witnessed from the air.
Stefan has always had a creative mind for visual arts. After completing school, he traveled to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji before returning to Germany. In 2000, his life took a 180-degree turn after graduating from commercial photography studies and accepted a position at schoepe, a commercial studio in Germany prior to launching his freelance career domestically and overseas as Stefan Weber Photography in 2005.
Back in Australia he got offered to work for Airview Group, one of Australia's leading aerial video and production companies, owning two Cineflex camera systems. That was the first time Stefan used a Cineflex camera. He started his training at Airview to get up to speed for an initial project. Besides operating the Cineflex he trained in rigging the camera system onto various types of helicopters. These helicopters included the Eurocopter AS 350, Bell 206 Long Ranger and Hughes 500. He learned to master working the microwave downlinks to broadcast live footage straight from the helicopter.
During the next few years Stefan mainly worked as an aerial cinematographer for different companies and gained more than 1,500 filming hours in the helicopter.
After traveling between Germany and Australia for a number of years, he decided to apply and was honoured to receive dual citizenship in 2012.
